RUSSIAN PROGRESSIVE ROCK LABEL / PUBLISHER
The 80-minute "The Mysterious Race of Strange Entities" is the debut album by Seventh Ocean, from Belarus, although the band consists of mature musicians with an experience of many years behind them. The group performs symphonic progressive rock that, while being predominantly vocals-based (which is certainly not the same as “song-based”), is highly diverse – not too dissimilar to mid-‘70s Van Der Graaf Generator in this respect. This is in all senses a concept recording, i.e. both stylistically and lyrically, and has a genuinely epic magnitude, obvious throughout its ten tracks.
