The “MALS” label was founded at the end of 2003 when we signed first contracts with a few Russian rock groups to release their new (debut) albums.
The company's objective is to issue and reissue albums of the most interesting musicians - both well-known and talented promising debutants from Russia and other countries. We are not going to chase after rapid catalogue growth by releasing anybody, but we will thoroughly select the music based not only on personal judgment and likings. The basic criteria will be the musicians' professional skills, beauty of the material and the value of this type of music as a contribution to a certain genre and music culture as a whole. We are always open to cooperate with any groups playing in different styles and genres of contemporary music. What we are interested in is anything from psychedelia to classic art-rock, from neo- to RIO, from fusion to metal progressive, and we also welcome compositions at the interface of styles and any experiments beyond genre limits.
We will do everything in our power to promote the bands we cooperate with by providing the best production, advertising, marketing and distribution. We are sure to help our listeners discover new names, enjoy good music and expand their knowledge. The musicians will have a chance to reveal their potential and become as famous as they deserve. There are many interesting things ahead. Time will show the way the company will develop. We will make sure that nobody is disappointed. So watch for our news. |
